Tottenham have been given some positive news regarding their injury crisis, as Tom Huddlestone’s second ankle scan has revealed he will not be a long-term absentee.

Huddlestone was injured in a tackle with John Heitinga in Spurs victory over Everton and there were fears that it was a serious ankle injury.

Spurs are keen to get Huddlestone back, with Wilson Palacios Spurs only natural central midfielder fit currently, with Jermaine Jenas having had surgery on his groin earlier this month.

Jenas is back in training, but will be unavailable for the trip to Stoke at the weekend.

Huddlestone is progressing well with his injury, but no date has yet been set for his return to action.
