Tom Huddlestone is being sent to see a specialist after scans revealed the midfielder suffered ankle ligament damage.
Huddlestone was stretchered off after a collision with John Heitinga in the win over Everton on Sunday and left White Hart Lane with a protective boot around the injury.
A Spurs statement said, “Scans have revealed that Tom Huddlestone has suffered damage to the ligaments in his right ankle.
“The England international sustained the injury during Sunday’s win over Everton and the player will now be seen by ankle specialists before deciding on the best course of best course of rehabilitation.”
