“Huge 3 points, fortress” – Some Spurs fans react as Eriksen helps Spurs beat Brighton

Tottenham overcame Brighton 1-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tonight continuing their perfect record since moving to the new 62,062 capacity venue.

Spurs have now won all four games they have played at the stadium, scoring eight goals in the process without conceding a single goal.

The win against Brighton ensured that Tottenham put some daylight between them and their rivals in the race for the top four spots. Tottenham now sit with 70 points, three points ahead of Chelsea in 3rd, and four ahead of Arsenal who take on Wolves tomorrow.

However, the win was anything but straight forward as the visitors sat deep and frustrated Tottenham for the majority of the ninety minutes. As the minutes ticked by, it looked as if it wasn’t going to be Tottenham’s night.

A goal eventually arrived in the 88th minute courtesy of a left-foot pile driver from Christian Eriksen, which sent the home fans into rapture.
