Journalist Graeme Bailey has provided an update on Fabio Paratici’s proposed return to Tottenham in an official capacity, and it is not good news for Spurs fans.
Many Tottenham supporters were over the moon when it emerged that Paratici was set to return in an official role, given that the Italian had a solid record in the transfer market when he was in charge.
However, it was Levy who was driving Paratici’s return to the club, and the 63-year-old’s departure has put the move in doubt.
In fact, Fabrizio Romano has said that Paratici will now consider his options after Levy’s departure, and another journalist has now provided even more bad news on the matter.

Fabio Paratici is now unlikely to return to Tottenham
Graeme Bailey has now revealed that Levy expected to be in charge of the Lilywhites for at least one more year and thus wanted to bring the former Juventus director on board.
However, now that Levy has been let go by the club, Paratici is likely to look elsewhere for his next permanent role.
Bailey told TBR Football: “Fabio Paratici is unlikely to take up the role previously discussed and agreed. Daniel Levy knew the change was coming at some point, but it has come earlier than they thought – belief was he might have another season so obviously he wanted Paratici involved.
“Now Levy has gone, we are told it is ‘unlikely’ that Paratici will be taking up an official role at the club and will look elsewhere for his next permanent role.”
Why Spurs’ football structure may not see too many changes
Vinai Venkatesham, who joined in April, is set to continue as Chief Executive Officer at Tottenham, and he will have an important role to play after Levy’s exit.
In fact, it has been reported that the appointment of Venkatesham was made by Spurs with Levy’s potential exit in mind.
Given that Venkatesham oversaw the appointment of Thomas Frank and has worked closely with Johan Lange, one would expect the current footballing structure at the N17 to remain relatively consistent despite the changes in the leadership structure.
