Tottenham have been handed a major injury boost ahead of their Premier League clash with Everton this weekend as Roberto De Zerbi searches for his first league win.
Tottenham Hotspur have just domestic competitions to contend with this season and are set to return to action this weekend with a clash against Everton.
The last time the two sides met was on the final day of last season in what was a must‑win game for Spurs, who needed to avoid defeat to secure their Premier League status.
Tottenham managed a 1-0 victory at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium thanks to a goal from Joao Palhinha, which was enough to keep Spurs in the Premier League and send bitter rivals West Ham United down instead.

Roberto De Zerbi will now be hoping his side can repeat the same trick as he goes in search of a first league victory this season. However, ahead of the clash against David Moyes’ side, Tottenham have now been handed a big injury boost.
James Maddison, who missed Spurs’ last two outings against Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest because of a shoulder injury, has been spotted in training as Tottenham prepare to face Everton.
The Englishman has struggled with minor injuries since his return from an ACL knock and missed a large chunk of pre‑season as De Zerbi looked to manage his fitness.
Maddison featured off the bench in Tottenham’s clash against Brentford, before picking up his latest injury. With the Englishman now back, Spurs have just three players unavailable for this weekend’s encounter: Dejan Kulusevski, Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert.
Maddison’s return offers De Zerbi a creative boost
Given Spurs’ struggles in front of goal, Maddison’s return to fitness is certainly a big boost for Roberto De Zerbi, whose side is yet to score this season.
Tottenham do need creativity in the middle of the park, and Maddison definitely offers that. However, with the Englishman only just returning, it is very unlikely he starts from the off.
De Zerbi still needs to find a solution before Maddison gets up to speed. Using Mateus Fernandes in the number ten spot brought Tottenham some success in their Carabao Cup outing against Charlton.
At the same time, the youngster showed flashes of brilliance when he came off the bench against Brentford in that role.
