Huge Tottenham injury boost: Kevin Danso and Pedro Porro return to Spurs training

Two senior Tottenham Hotspur stars have joined the team for training for the first time in several weeks, four days ahead of a vital Fulham clash.

Igor Tudor has admitted that Tottenham’s current injury crisis is unlike anything he has seen in his coaching career, with the Croat only having 13 players to work with in the lead-up to the North London derby.

That meant that the Spurs interim boss was left with few options on the bench to change the game against Arsenal, beyond a handful of inexperienced academy starlets.

However, he will be relieved to have two more senior men to call upon for Tottenham’s trip to Fulham.

Two Tottenham defenders return to training

Tudor revealed a few days ago that he hopes Kevin Danso and Pedro Porro will be back in training this week, and the 47-year-old has now got his wish.

Football.London reports that the Spaniard and the Austrian took part in the training session at Hotspur Way on Wednesday morning.

Both players could find themselves back in the starting line-up for Tottenham’s trip to Craven Cottage on Sunday. By then, they should have four days of training under their belts.

Pedro Porro’s return is crucial for Spurs

With Tudor having a preference for a back three and wing-backs, Porro’s return will significantly improve Tottenham, who used Archie Gray at right wing-back against Arsenal.

The Spaniard is also one of the leaders in the side and well respected in the dressing room, with Spurs needing him to step up as they fight to preserve their Premier League status.

With Cristian Romero suspended for two more matches, Kevin Danso’s return also comes at an important time for the Lilywhites.
