Huge Tottenham target out of contract in summer and wants a move

It has been well-documented for a while now that Tottenham are keen admirers of Manchester United’s Anthony Martial, even before he arrived at Old Trafford.

Spurs were actually looking at buying the winger from Monaco, but baulked at the asking price.

Fast forward a couple of years and Tottenham may have a chance to sign the forward on a free transfer, as his contract runs out this summer.

The Mirror report that the 22-year-old still wants a move away from Manchester, despite scoring a brace against Chelsea yesterday.

United can trigger a 12 month option of his contract, but this would only ensure a slight fee for the club, much like Tottenham’s situation with Toby Alderweireld.

Martial’s agent has made it clear the young Frenchman wants out of United, with The Mirror reporting he said: “After thinking about all the possibilities, Anthony wants to leave Manchester United.”

Martial could be just the player Spurs need, with Son and Lucas as the only two wingers at the club currently.
