Huge update on Tottenham target Malick Thiaw as AC Milan draft transfer plan

Tottenham Hotspur have received a major boost in their pursuit of Malick Thiaw and one other AC Milan star as the Serie A giants are willing to sell this summer.

Unsurprisingly, we are now seeing an increasing number of centre-backs being linked with Tottenham over recent weeks, following suggestions that Cristian Romero wants to swap Spurs for Atletico Madrid.

It has been claimed by multiple outlets that Tottenham have set their sights on Malick Thiaw, whose future at AC Milan is said to be in doubt.

The North London club have now received a bittersweet update regarding the future of the German, as well as another Milan defender who they allegedly have their eye on.

German giants ready to battle Tottenham for Malick Thiaw

According to the print edition of Tuttosport (as relayed by MilanNews), the German is set to be the subject of a hotly contested transfer battle.

The report claims that the Rossoneri are planning to push ahead with a move for Bologna winger Riccardo Orsolini this summer.

In order to fund that transfer, the club have decided to listen to offers for two of their centre-backs: Thiaw and Fikayo Tomori.

The outlet reveals that Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen have already expressed an interest in taking Thiaw back to the Bundesliga this summer.

Tottenham could return for Fikayo Tomori

This update is very significant from a Tottenham Hotspur standpoint as the North London club’s interest in the former Chelsea man has been well documented.

According to reports, Tottenham made a move for Fikayo Tomori in the January window, but the Milan man turned down the chance to join the Lilywhites.

Over recent weeks, some outlets have said that Tottenham could reignite their interest in Tomori this summer, with the Englishman expected to be available for just around €30m (£26m).
