Hugo Lloris’ agent speaks about goalkeeper’s future and Saudi offer rumours

Hugo Lloris‘ agent has said that the goalkeeper will study all the offers that come his way before making a final decision on his future.

Lloris is currently out with a thigh injury and might not play again this season, while there have been some suggestions that the Tottenham captain may have already worn a Spurs shirt for the final time as the club are on the lookout for a new goalkeeper this summer (Evening Standard).

The Times revealed on Wednesday that the 36-year-old had been offered a deal to play in Saudi Arabia next season that would see the Tottenham captain triple his current salary.

The same information was backed up by The Athletic, who claimed on Thursday that Lloris also has other offers on the table apart from the Saudi one.

The publication explained that while Tottenham want their captain to remain at the club next season, the goalkeeper does not want to be a back up could thus decide to leave North London at the end of the season.

When asked about the speculation, a representative of the Tottenham number one has been quoted by Le Parisien as saying (11/05/23 via Sport Witness): “He will study all the options available to him.”

When asked about the Saudi offer more specifically, the representative simply responded: “There is nothing concrete yet.”

Based on these words, it sounds like Lloris is likely to leave Tottenham this summer and is now in the process of deciding where to move to.

It would be a shame if the goalkeeper’s Spurs career ends without him getting a proper opportunity to say goodbye to the fans.
