Hugo Lloris back in training – Mourinho reveals when he could make first-team return

Tottenham Hotspur have been without Hugo Lloris for the vast majority of the season now, as Argentine Paulo Gazzaniga has filled in for the Frenchman.

Lloris dislocated his elbow in a 3-0 loss to Brighton earlier in the season after gifting the opposition the opening goal early on in the match.

Hugo has only made seven Premier League appearances so far this season, since that injury was picked up on October 5. Since then, Lloris has missed a total of 20 games for Tottenham across all competitions (TransferMarkt).

It was reported today that Lloris is back in first-team training, which led to questions over when the Spurs captain would make his return to action.

However, Spurs fans should not get their hopes up, as Mourinho has stuck to the estimation that the Frenchman will return in early February, stating that he is currently training and getting his confidence back.

It remains to be seen who becomes the number one in the long-run, Lloris or Gazzaniga.
