Hugo Lloris insists team-mate is in the best form of his career

Son Heung-Min has been in terrific form for Spurs as of late having scored 13 goals in his last 16 appearances.

The 26-year-old has stepped up to the plate and carried the goalscoring burden in the absence of both Harry Kane and Dele Alli.

Son has managed to consistently put in top performances despite having a stop-start season due to his involvement in the Asian Games as well as the Asia Cup last month.

He has now become a vital cog of this Spurs side and has even been mentioned as a potential contender for the Player of the Year award.

Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris has now raved about the South Korean and insisted that Son is getting better with each passing game.

The World Cup winner also said that although Son has been consistent over the last few seasons, he feels he is playing his best football at the moment.

Speaking to The Daily Mail, Lloris said: “Sonny has been very consistent in the past few seasons and he is improving individually his stats and his big impact in the big games.

“That’s why the gaffer, the club and his team-mates have faith. He’s very talented, he has a lot of skills and at the moment he is playing at his best.”
