Hungary manager reveals who Szoboszlai may join in January amid Spurs’ interest

Tottenham Hotspur’s hopes of landing Dominik Szoboszlai may have received a huge blow, with reports indicating that Hungary manager Marco Rossi expects the midfielder to join RB Leipzig in January.

Szoboszlai’s brilliant form for the last year and a half for club and country has made him one of the most highly sought after youngsters in world football.

90min.com claimed last month that Tottenham were battling some of the biggest clubs in Europe for Szoboszlai’s signature, while The Athletic’s David Ornstein also backed up the claim that the 20-year-old was on Spurs’ radar.

The Daily Mirror suggested last week that the North Londoners were facing an uphill battle in snapping up the RB Salzburg star as RB Leipzig also held an interest in the midfielder and were likely to have more pulling power since they are the Austrians’ sister club.

Tancredi Palmeri, who is a journalist for beIN SPORT, has now taken to social media to reveal that he spoke to Rossi about the young starlet and that the Hungarian manager confirmed that Szoboszlai was on his way to Leipzig.
