Many Tottenham fans were dreading the ‘Spursy’ tag that was likely to be levelled at the side in case of a loss at home to the Blades, with opposition fans seemingly chomping at the bits to suggest that Ange Postecoglou’s honeymoon was over.

However, what transpired was something quite different, with the Spurs players not allowing their heads to drop and continuing to build attack after attack, with the home side being rewarded with two late goals from Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski to send the stadium into pandemonium.

Paul Merson forced to compliment Tottenham

Merson, who had insisted before the start of the season that Tottenham would not even finish in the top half of the table (Sky Sports), begrudgingly praised Postecoglou’s men for their memorable comeback.
