Both Alan Hutton and Kyle Naughton are in talks with loan moves away from White Hart Lane on transfer deadline day.

Hutton has found it difficult to replace Vedran Corluka from the right-back slot, after the Croatian has impressed and made the position his own this season.

Sunderland have made him their number one target to solve their problematic right-back slot, with the defender thought to want to move closer to his native Scotland.

Hutton is currently believed to be under-going a medical today, ahead of a switch tot he Stadium of Light, with a permanent deal a possibility if he impresses during his time there.

Naughton is also set for a loan switch, with Middlesbrough supposedly keen on taking the youngster for the remainder of the season.

Redknapp is thought to be keen on allowing Naughton to go out on loan to gain experience, as he has yet to make any sort of impression on the first-team.

Redknapp said, “There may be one or two things going on. I think Alan Hutton has gone up to Sunderland today on loan.

“Kyle Naughton might be going to Middlesbrough on loan.”

This will only leave Vedran Corluka as the only recognised right-back in the Tottenham squad however, so it remains to be seen whether Redknapp is planning any new cover for the Croatian.
