“I am not interested” – Premier League club chairman rules out move for Spurs player

Fulham vice-chairman and director of football Tony Khan has revealed that the club will not be looking to bring Ryan Sessegnon back to the club on loan.

The 20-year-old departed Craven Cottage last summer following their relegation to the Championship and made the £25million move across London to join Tottenham Hotspur (BBC).

The Cottagers had been linked with the possibility of bringing the left-sided player back for a second stint following their return to the Premier League at the first time of asking (Guardian).

Khan has emphatically closed the door on the prospect of Sessegnon lining up for Fulham next season after claiming that the player did not do enough to try and keep the club in the top flight whilst also aiming a dig at Spurs with his reluctance to develop the England Under-21 international when he hardly gets a game with the Champions League finalists.

Sessegnon only appeared twelve times in all competitions for Spurs last season in a frustrating first campaign with his new club (transfermarkt).

“I am not interested,” Khan told The Times when asked about a loan move for Sessegnon.

“Ryan already played for us in the Premier League and he didn’t do enough to keep us in there.

“We get two loans and I can’t be in the business of developing other people’s players when they don’t have time to play them.”
