Antonio Conte delivered an injury update on Lucas Moura ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s north London derby against Arsenal earlier this morning.

The Brazilian has not featured for Tottenham since coming off the bench for the final eight minutes of the 2-2 draw at Chelsea in mid-August.

Football.London have previously reported that Lucas is suffering from a calf problem which has seen him miss eight matches already this season.

Spurs were also without Dejan Kulusevski for the match against their rivals after the Swede suffered a hamstring issue while on international duty (The Athletic).

Conte told BT Sport 1 ahead of the derby at the Emirates (01/10/22 – 12:15): “Lucas Moura is out. I am really worried about this situation as it is not recovering.”

Tottenham have a hectic fixture schedule this month with games coming thick and fast.  Antonio Conte will desperately want the 30-year-old back available for selection to be able to shuffle his side.

Against Arsenal, Tottenham only had Bryan Gil available on the bench as an attack-minded player which is a cause for some concern.
