Some Bournemouth fans on social media are desperate for the club to snap up Cameron Carter-Vickers permanently at the end of the season.
Carter-Vickers has not quite lived up to the promise he showed while coming through the youth ranks at Spurs.
The centre-back has had a whole host of loan spells at various Championship clubs over the past few years.
He did not have the best of starts to his spell with the Cherries as injury problems put him out of action for the first few months of the campaign.
However, the 23-year-old has been a fixture in Bournemouth’s backline over recent weeks and has put in several impressive displays.
Reports indicate that Tottenham are unlikely to renew the defender’s contract which runs out at the end of the season, irrespective of how he performs for the remainder of the campaign.
The Spurs academy graduate is thus expected to be available on a free transfer at the end of the season and some Bournemouth fans admitted that they would love to see the defender complete a permanent move to the Vitality Stadium.
Carter-Vickers, the best thing to happen to our defence since Ake. Cool, calm, never flustered, immense in the air, ferocious in the tackle. has to be a priority to sign him if possible at the end of the season. #afcb

CCV & Steve Cook pairing, protected by Lerma & Pearson in front.
THAT IS THE FORMULA. #afcb

We were crap last season til Carter-Vickers came in and made us tough at the back. Lockyer replaced him & has been great. Sadly with him out, we look absolute chaos at the back. As for that midfield 'display'. Absolutely nobody can complain if they get hooked at half time. #LTFC

At last! Fight & passion Now just keep the same starting 11 4 the next game Well balanced Solanke big difference up front Pearson breaking up the midfield & Jeff Defence with Carter Vickers looks so much stronger Kelly better as Left Back
Let’s hope we can push on from this #afcb— NobbyDog (@Nobby_Dog) February 27, 2021

Last thought on football tonight….the first thing the new manager should do is try and sign CCV….the bloke is the 1 thing we need,a decent defender who is capable of passing the bloody ball to a team mate…
G'night all….keep the faith

CCV is just so bloody good, has he actually put a foot wrong in any game he has played for us? Needs to be a priority to sign him permanently in the summer #afcb

Important three points. Billing was great today, easily one of his best games for us. Lerma back to his shithouse brilliance. I won’t say this again (I definitely will) but please sign CCV. #afcb

Spurs Web Opinion
Given how well Carter-Vickers performed at Luton in the second half of last season and his impressive form for Bournemouth recently, I would expect plenty of Championship clubs to be queuing up for the 23-year-old’s signature in the summer.
I am surprised that Tottenham have not shown a desire to extend his deal as the youngster could potentially fetch a few million in the market for the North Londoners.
