‘I can be completely honest’ – Nuno provides update on Tanguy Ndombele

Nuno Espirito Santo has now revealed that Tanguy Ndombele will not be part of the Tottenham squad to face Wolves in the Premier League this weekend.

Spurs will be looking to follow up on their 1-0 win over Man City on the opening day of the season with another three points against Nuno’s former club.

However, Ndombele, who was not seen in any pre-season squads, against Man City, or against Pacos de Ferreira last night, will not be making the trip.

This comes after Alasdair Gold recently reported that Ndombele was once again considering his future in North London, especially due to the potential departures of his two closest friends in the changing room, Serge Aurier and Moussa Sissoko.

The French midfielder previously admitted himself that he wanted to leave Spurs after a tough pre-season under Pochettino, while the midfielder apparently asked for an exit at the end of his first campaign.

On Ndombele, Nuno said in his press conference today (Jonathan Veal): “I can be completely honest with you, Tanguy is not going to be involved in the squad on Sunday.”

Spurs Web Opinion:

It looks like Tanguy’s head is not in it anymore. If he wants to leave, Spurs should let it happen. Unfortunately, that depends on a decent bid coming in. What a shame because he has so much talent, he just isn’t willing to work hard enough.
