‘I can’t describe him’ – Joe Rodon opens up on Son’s changing room influence

Joe Rodon has now opened up on the influence of Heung-min Son in the Tottenham dressing room, claiming that the South Korean is ‘hilarious’.

Rodon only joined Tottenham from Swansea City back in October 2020 right at the end of the domestic summer transfer window.

However, it has been an impressive debut season for Spurs and in the Premier League for the Welshman as he has been the shining light in an inconsistent back line.

Rodon has made 11 Premier League appearances for the Lilywhites this season, and has now started the last four league games under previous boss Jose Mourinho (TransferMarkt).

For a new player coming onto a club and playing in the Premier League for the first time, it can be a daunting experience. However, Rodon had international teammates, Ben Davies and Gareth Bale to make him feel welcome.

Rodon has also revealed that Son is the perfect person to speak to when you are feeling down, adding that he is a great person to have in the dressing room.

He said (Football London): “Sonny’s hilarious, whenever you are down, you speak to Sonny and you’ll smile.

“I’m laughing now just thinking about him. I can’t describe him. He’s a great guy and a great character to have in the dressing room.”

Rodon also added that Bale has been like a ‘big brother’ to him while settling in at Hotspur Way.
