‘I don’t close the door to anyone’ – Spurs target open to move

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Lyon midfield powerhouse Tanguy N’dombele for some while now, as the players’ stocks continue to rise.

N’dombele has been an impressive force in the Lyon midfield of late, after impressing on loan at the club from Amiens last season.

Football London claim that Man City have already had a 50 million Euro offer knocked back by the French outfit.

Lyon are also said to have slapped a 70 million Euro price tag on the player’s head (Mundo Deportivo), a number that may prove to be way above what Daniel Levy is willing to pay.

However, despite Lyon being determined to keep one of their star men, the player himself seems open to a move away.

It would seem unlikely that Spurs would be able to outbid the likes of Manchester City or Manchester United for his signature, but you never know.

N’dombele told Get French Football that he would never shut the door on a move to any club.

He said: “I could have gone [last summer], maybe things would have worked out well.

“The club was firm, they didn’t want me to leave. I didn’t feel like leaving, and I think that today you can see that it was the best decision for me.

“Things are going well, I am playing a lot of games and I am in the French national team. So, I think for the moment it was the best decision.

“I don’t imagine how my career will go, I live it instead. When I was young I didn’t dream of being in this or that club, I have never dreamed of being in a specific club like that.

“Of course they are big clubs, I don’t close the door to anyone.”
