Zinedine Zidane gives update on Gareth Bale’s future

Tottenham Hotspur and Gareth Bale is a rumour that seems to have rumbled on almost from the day he left for Real Madrid.

Bale was always a hit with the Spurs faithful, with his lung-busting runs, long-range screamers, and outrageous skill, and many would love to see him return to the club.

Recent reports have talked about a £10m loan back to Spurs for the 2019/20 season, although these are nothing short of rumours (Sun).

Bale’s agent has long since been adamant that his client wishes to remain in Madrid with his current club (Sky Sports), however, Zidane is reportedly not keen on the Welshman (Express).

Now, in his latest interview, Zinedine Zidane refused to rule out a Bale exit in the summer, merely stating that there would be changes and that he wasn’t sure if it would be Gareth’s last game (Marca).

It remains to be seen whether or not Bale will leave for pastures new, let alone whether he will rejoin the Lilywhites, but what is sure is that Spurs’ front line would be formidable with him added to it.

Zidane said (Marca): “[Gareth] will be with us [against Real Betis] tomorrow and that’s all I can say. I don’t know if it’ll be his last game, you can’t tell. It’s the end of the season and there will be changes.”
