‘I don’t know why you’re talking about Spurs’ – Player directly addresses transfer links

Loic Bade has batted away questions about the speculation linking him with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, insisting that he remains fully focused on doing well for Sevilla.

Bade has impressed since his move to Sevilla back in January of 2023, with the La Liga club making the loan move permanent last summer.

The centre-back’s reputation has grown further this season, having established himself as the linchpin of the Andalusian club’s backline and the 24-year-old might now even be dreaming of breaking into the Les Blues set-up in the near future.

It was reported during the January window that Sevilla were panicking after Spurs signalled an interest in securing the defender’s services (Football 365).

Loic Bade is not interested in Tottenham links

The move did not materialise at the time but the centre-back admitted back in February that he was delighted to hear that a big club like Tottenham were interested in him (Estadio Deportivo).

However, Bade has now not taken kindly to being asked again about Spurs’ interest, insisting that he is happy at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.

When asked about the transfer rumours, the former Rennes star told Marca: “I’m comfortable, I’m working well, I’m trying to progress… I’m at Sevilla, I don’t know why you’re talking about Tottenham.”

Spurs Web Opinion

All signs suggest that Tottenham have now moved on from Bade, with the centre-back not being linked with the North London club since January. It appears as if the likes of Tosin Adarabioyo, Riccardo Calafiori and Piero Hincapie sit at the top of Postecoglou’s centre-back wishlist ahead of the summer.
