‘I don’t think anyone can beat us’ – Spurs star makes huge claim

Tottenham Hotspur take on Manchester City twice in the next week, with both fixtures coming away from home at a pivotal time in the season.

Spurs first face a tough match at the Etihad in the Champions League quarter final second leg, before facing the same opponents in the Premier League just days later.

However, if Victor Wanyama’s comments are anything to go by, Spurs shouldn’t be worried at all ahead of the double fixture.

Wanyama recently returned to the starting line up against Huddersfield after enduring an elongated spell on the touchline with injury problems.

The holding midfielder didn’t waste much time getting his name on the scoresheet in the new stadium though, as he took the ball around the keeper and slotted home in the first half.

Spurs went on to win the game 4-0, and the midfield man is now confident that his side can beat absolutely anyone.

Wanyama said (Independent): “We have a good team spirit and togetherness. We work well as a team and if we’re focused and we give everything then I don’t think anyone can beat us.”
