‘I don’t think it’s even up for discussion’ – Dier makes bullish claim about Spurs player

Eric Dier has claimed that every single facet of Harry Kane’s game is among the best in the world for a striker.

Kane has arguably had to deal with more detractors than most for the majority of his career, despite consistently proving himself every year since breaking into the Tottenham and England team.

It was not long ago that pundits were once again writing the Tottenham man off and questioning if he would ever be the same player he was after his injury problems (talkSPORT).

However, the 27-year-old has come back with a bang again this season, having already registered 13 goals and 10 assists for the North Londoners in all competitions so far (transfermarkt.com).

The England captain finally seems to be getting the credit he deserves for his all-round play, which has been more apparent this season due to the slightly more withdrawn role he is playing this season.

Dier believes that there is no other striker in world football who can do what his Tottenham and England team-mate does.

The centre-back told The Daily Star: “Comparing him to the rest of the strikers in football, I don’t think it’s even up for discussion, he’s one of the best in the world.

“He has so much to his game, his hold-up play is fantastic, he’s as good as anyone in the air, his finishing with both feet, and the way he brings team-mates into play.

“He’s a match-winner, he’s done it on many occasions. That’s what the best strikers do – score goals at the right time to win you games.

“But he does so much for the team and that’s what makes him stand out against the rest.

“Everything else he does for the team, defensively, off the ball, the effort he puts in, is the best in the world from a striker.”
