‘I feel ashamed’ – Spurs pair react after being pictured at Christmas party

Erik Lamela and Giovani Lo Celso have both taken to social media to apologise after being pictured in a Christmas party.

Under Tier 4 rules, Government regulations do not currently allow individuals within London to socialise indoors with family or friends unless they are part of their household or support bubble.

Those breaking the rules could incur a fine of £200 with the figure rising to £6,400 for repeat offenders.

Under the current rules, parties of over 30 people can see penalties of £10,000 levied (Sky Sports).

However, Lamela and Lo Celso were pictured celebrating Christmas Day with Sergio Reguilon and West Ham attacker Manuel Lanzini.

The four players were pictured in one house with eleven other adults, two children and a baby.

Tottenham have condemned the actions of the players in question while Jose Mourinho also admitted that he is disappointed by the photograph.

Lamela and Lo Celso have now both taken to social media to express their respective apologies for breaking the Government guidelines.

The three players in question really should have known better and their callousness is inexcusable. This is an extremely poor look for the club.
