‘I guarantee’ – Ange Postecoglou makes big promise to Spurs fans around the world

Ange Postecoglou has promised Spurs supporters that his team will be playing exciting football next season, so much so that fans who stay up late to watch the games in Asia will be suitably entertained and wide awake.

Tottenham‘s new manager has only been in the role a month, and a ball has not yet been kicked under Postecoglou’s reign, but Spurs supporters are feeling positive.

The Australian has appeased any supporters who had doubts over his credentials by acting swiftly in the transfer market and seemingly fixing problem areas in the squad.

When he’s not making shrewd moves in the transfer market, Postecoglou is shouting from the rooftops about his passion for exciting, attacking football.

This is something that was severely lacking in North London last year, and something the fans are desperate to see again.

Postecoglou will keep Asian fans wide awake

In a fan Q+A on the club’s YouTube channel, Postecoglou was asked about Spurs supporters in Asia and how he plans to keep them entertained when they tune in to Premier League matches at inconvenient hours.

He said: “I know that experience. That was my experience, I love that and what you do remember after – is that some of my best memories came from being on the other side of the world and getting up and watching games.

“It helps to have positive experiences so that’s my responsibility.

“That’s how I know when we do these trips they are really important because our supporters, just because they are not here watching us every week, it takes a hell of a lot of commitment and passion to get up in the middle of the night and midweek to watch your team play.

“I guarantee you won’t be falling asleep watching our games. That’s a guarantee!”

Spurs Web Opinion

Postecoglou is certainly making some big promises and I just hope he can keep them.

After last season’s debacle, I think most fans would be more than happy to just watch positive, attacking football this year.
