Fiorentina defender Matija Nastasic has said he has no doubt that rumoured Tottenham target Dusan Vlahovic will be the main man for whichever club he joins.
Vlahovic hit the limelight last season with a prolific campaign in front of goal and far from being a one-season wonder, the Serbian looks set to hit even greater heights this time around.
The centre-forward has already notched up 12 goals in 14 appearances in all competitions for the Viola so far and is showing no signs of slowing down just yet.
Conte is alleged to have asked Tottenham to snap up the 21-year-old when the transfer window reopens in January.
Over recent days, it has emerged that Juve have made an opening offer of €50m (£42.4m) for the centre-forward.
Wherever Valhovic ends up, his club and international teammate, Nastasic, has no doubts that the striker will hit the ground running.
The former Manchester City defender told Telegraf regarding Vlahvoic: “We are all witnesses of how Dusan plays and how he behaves. I sincerely hope that his health will serve him, he is very young and he plays at such a high level.
“I have no doubt that in the future he will be the main hope of the national team and the club in which he will play. He is here, you could say, the biggest star. Because you all saw how many goals he scored and with what sacrifice he plays for Fiorentina.
“He was not disturbed by the stories about the transfer and the extension of the contract. He is a professional, he works to the maximum and it is certain that the fans show him respect on every corner.”
Spurs Web Opinion
Vlahvoic is arguably the best young number nine in world football apart from Erling Haaland. There is no doubt that he is destined for a big future.
However, I have my doubts on whether Spurs will shell out big money for him when we already have Harry Kane.
If Juve can find enough money for him through player sales, I suspect Vlahvoic will be on his way to Turin in January.
