‘I have seen him lose it’ – Danny Rose gives insight into Harry Kane at Spurs

Former Tottenham Hotspur player Danny Rose has claimed Harry Kane will be seriously considering leaving the club in the summer because he simply deserves better.

Tottenham absolutely capitulated against Newcastle United yesterday, coming away from St James’ Park on the wrong end of a 6-1 scoreline.

The result was a new low in a frustrating and very disappointing season for the Lilywhites.

Harry Kane scored the only goal for Spurs as he continued to build on an impressive individual campaign this year. The 29-year-old now has 26 goals in all competitions this term (Transfermarkt).

There has been plenty of talk regarding Kane’s future, as another season without a trophy comes to pass.

Manchester United and Bayern Munich have been joined by Real Madrid and PSG among the possible destinations for the England captain should he choose to move on (Daily Mail).

Kane is approaching the final year of his current contract at Tottenham and progress on a new deal has been slow, to say the least.

Now, Rose thinks the time has come for Kane to leave Spurs, as he told Sky Sports (23/04/2023, 6:38 pm) the talismanic striker is better than the current state of affairs at the club.

Rose said: “There have been a few times where I have seen him lose it and today will be one of them days.

“For me, I can imagine him being sat there thinking, as everyone in football does, I deserve better than this, and I hope he gets it.”

As much as I would love for Harry Kane to be here forever, we will have to replace him at some point, whether that be because he leaves or retires.

He really does deserve way better than this right now, and I would not blame him at all for moving on in the summer.
