‘I have spoken’ – Davinson Sanchez’s agent reveals he has held talks with potential suitor

Davinson Sanchez’s agent has revealed that he has held discussions with Sevilla over a potential transfer.

The 25-year-old had been linked with a move to the La Liga outfit as part of a deal which would have brought Jules Kounde to North London, only for the French international to turn down the opportunity (Gianluca Di Marzio).

Kounde has since emerged as a main target of rivals Chelsea, with the Stamford Bridge outfit said to be determined to land the 22-year-old, no matter what (The Athletic).

It was reported earlier this week that Sanchez has already been informed by the club that they would like to sell him this summer.

Nestor Villarreal, who represents the Colombian international admitted that while talks had taken place, nothing is expected to happen at the moment since Sevilla have a full squad.

Villarreal told Caracol Radio: “They are just rumours.

“Yes, I have spoken to the people of Sevilla, but at the moment, they have a full squad.

“If a transfer happens on their part, those rumours could be true, but concretely there is nothing, only talks.”

Sevilla could potentially be waiting for Kounde’s departure to be confirmed before they look to bring in the likes of Sanchez.

The Colombian arrived at Tottenham for a club record fee with the hope of being the club’s top defender, however, his progression has not been as expected.

Sanchez is often guilty of simple mistakes and poor positioning in his game, which we clearly saw during the defeat at Manchester City last season.
