‘I heard’ – Harry Kane responds to chants from Man Utd fans about him joining

Harry Kane has admitted that he heard Manchester United fans’ attempts to lure him to Old Trafford but insisted that he remains focused on Tottenham.

Kane was once again the star of the show for Tottenham on Thursday, particularly in the second half as he pulled the strings from a deeper role and looked threatening every single time he got on the ball.

The England captain set up Son Heung-min’s equaliser with an inch-perfect pass, demonstrating exactly why Man Utd want to snap him up this summer.

Reports over recent days indicate that United would certainly not have things their own way in their efforts to sign the Tottenham man, with Daniel Levy determined to hang on to him (Sky Sports).

This claim was also backed up by Fabrizio Romano, who said on his YouTube channel on Tuesday that Spurs will not negotiate with any club for Kane until they present him with an ‘important contract’ offer.

However, the United fans in attendance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday certainly seemed convinced that the 29-year-old is on his way to Old Trafford as they sang: “We’ll see you in June, Harry Kane, we’ll see you in June” (Sportskeeda).

When asked about chants, Kane told The Daily Mirror: “I heard what they were saying but I’m just focused on this team and trying to finish strongly.”

Even if Kane does not sign a new contract and expresses his wish to leave, we know that Levy will not make the negotiations easy.

So, unless Man Utd are prepared to fight tooth and nail until the end of the transfer window for the England captain, they would have to turn their attention to other targets.
