Tottenham Hotspur’s Managing Director of Football, Fabio Paratici has provided a few words on the appointment of Antonio Conte this afternoon.
Spurs officially announced the signing of the former Chelsea boss this hour and it has certainly gone down well with the Tottenham faithful.
Paratici, of course, knows Conte well from their time at Juventus together, where the Italian managed from 2011 to 2014. Paratici himself swapped the Old Lady for North London in the summer and he has now managed to lure an old friend with him.
Conte’s parted ways with Inter Milan at the end of last season after guiding them to a historic Serie A title, while he also has experience in winning the Premier League with Chelsea.
Paratici claimed he could not wait to see Conte work with the talented group at Tottenham, while adding that his track record speaks for itself.
The Managing Director of Football said (Tottenham): “We are delighted to welcome Antonio to the Club. His track record speaks for itself, with vast experience and trophies in both Italy and England.
“I know first-hand the qualities Antonio can bring to us, having worked with him at Juventus, and look forward to seeing his work with our talented group of players.”
Spurs Web Opinion:
Tottenham have a world-class manager at the helm now. Not only that, but a world-class manager who has won the Premier League and won a major trophy just last season. Give him the tools and he will succeed. It’s up to Levy, Paratici and the players now.
