‘I know him a little’ – Kulusevski would welcome Spurs return for Christian Eriksen

Dejan Kulusevski has admitted he would welcome Christian Eriksen to Tottenham if he made the move back to the club this summer.

The 30-year-old is expected to be in high demand this transfer window after putting together an impressive second half of last season with Brentford.

His displays ensured the Bees finished comfortably in mid-table in the Premier League, but his future in west London is up in the air with the six-month deal he signed in January approaching its expiry (Evening Standard).

Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla recently revealed that Eriksen has decided to leave Brentford in search of a new challenge, with plenty of English sides, including Tottenham, interested in a potential coup.

The Athletic have reported that Man United have made an offer to Eriksen already this summer, while The Mirror say Spurs and Everton are also keen.

And Kulusevski, when asked on international duty with Sweden about the prospect of Eriksen joining Spurs, admitted he would be happy if a deal came to fruition.

Kulusevski told Norwegian outlet Nettavisen: “He would be most welcome. He is an incredible player and a wonderfully good person too.

“I know him a little from before, but no [we haven’t spoken recently], we are not that good friends.”

Spurs Web Opinion

Eriksen seems to be liked by so many players across Europe even if they haven’t played together, and it looks like he and Kulusevski have engaged in some talks before.

He would fill a hole in that Spurs midfield if they were to bring him in, but there will be plenty of clubs interested in a free transfer which could complicate things.
