‘I know Jose really likes him’ – Spurs legend urges old club to re-sign this 28-year-old

Tottenham legend, Graham Roberts has urged the North Londoners to re-sign Christian Eriksen, just months after he left the club to join Inter Milan.

The Nerazzurri reportedly paid £16.9 million to sign Eriksen in January despite the Dane having just six months left to run on his contract with Tottenham.

Eriksen has not had the best of starts to life in Serie A as he has come under some criticism for his performances, finding himself in and out of the side.

Corriere dello Sport (via Sempre Inter) reported two weeks ago that Inter are willing to cash-in on the former Spurs star this summer as Antonio Conte has not been convinced by him.

Reacting to a Daily Mail article about the difficulties that the midfielder has endured in Italy following his move, Roberts took to social media to insist that he would have Eriksen back at Spurs if the former Ajax star was open to returning.

Spurs Web Opinion

Eriksen came off looking very good in the Amazon documentary and I believe fans will have more sympathy for his decision to leave Spurs now that we know that the transfer was not financially motivated. However, the Dane made it clear that he wanted to try something new after six and a half years at Tottenham and in truth, he did appear to be lacking in motivation during his last year and a half with us. Therefore, I cannot really see us being interested in re-signing him nor do I believe Eriksen would be interested in coming back.
