Lucas Moura has admitted he cherishes his time at Tottenham every day as he continues to prepare for the new campaign under Antonio Conte’s testing pre-season demands.

The Brazilian forward is getting ready to embark on his sixth season as a Spurs player after joining the club from Paris Saint-Germain in January 2018.

Emerging as a regular player in the side since the move, making over 200 appearances (Transfermarkt), Moura is now one of the more senior players at the club as he turns 30 next month.

But that has not changed anything for Lucas as he is continuing to experience the physical demands of Conte’s training methods, while also explaining he is living a daily dream knowing he is able to turn out for Spurs.

He told the official Tottenham website: “Times flies! My body feels very good. I’m 30, but the experience I have helps me to know my body well and the way I need to work.

“It’s tough, we run a lot, but no doubt it’s very important and it will help us a lot during the season.

“If you want to achieve something big, we need to suffer now, we need to run, we need to be ready to give the intensity the gaffer wants, and during pre-season is the time to do the work in this aspect. We are working very well, the commitment from everyone is amazing.

“The important thing is to enjoy every season, to enjoy football, I live a dream every day, every season, because I love to be here, I love our supporters, my team-mates, all the employees of the Club, so it’s always a pleasure to do what I do.”

Spurs Web Opinion

Moura has played a lot of games since joining the club in 2018 and that suggests how much the managers in charge have been able to trust him. He has been around for a very long time and is now someone a lot of players could look to for advice.
