‘I pray we invest in January’ – Some fans react to the first half display at Everton

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to social media to share their reaction to their side’s first half performance against Everton.

Antonio Conte decided to keep faith with the eleven players he selected to start Thursday night’s Europa Conference League win against Vitesse Arnhem for the trip to Goodison Park this afternoon.

Both sides struggled to create any clear cut chances in the opening twenty minutes with the best opportunity presenting itself to a counter attack where Emerson Royal headed over the bar from inside the penalty area.

The game has mostly been a battle in midfield with very little creativity coming from the middle of the park.

Everton appealed for a penalty in the 37th minute after Demari Gray went down in the box under a challenge from Oliver Skipp, only for referee Chris Kavanagh to wave away the call for him to point to the spot.

Sergio Reguilon should have broken the deadlock on the cusp of half time when the Spaniard could only volley Harry Kane’s pinpoint cross high and wide.

Here is a selection of reaction from the North London faithful.
