‘I prefer my hair’ – Lucas Moura roasts former Spurs midfielder on social media

Lucas Moura has mocked Victor Wanyama’s new afro after the former Tottenham midfielder posted a picture of the hairstyle on social media.

Owing to the lockdown, we have seen plenty of footballers across the Premier League sport some rather interesting haircuts.

While some Tottenham stars including Hugo Lloris and Jan Vertonghen decided to shave their heads completely, others decided to try something more unique.

Dele Alli’s decision to grow facial hair received a lot of attention from Spurs fans while Eric Dier’s short mohawk has also been talked about extensively.

It seems as if Wanyama also had difficulty finding access to barber following his move to MLS side Montreal Impact back in February.

The Kenyan international posted a picture of his lockdown afro on Instagram, admitting that it was forced on him.

Responding to the post, Moura commented: ‘I prefer my hair’.

The Brazilian’s comment had some Tottenham fans on social media in absolute stitches.

Spurs Web Opinion

To be fair to Victor, his afro is not nearly as bad as some of the shocking ones we have seen from some footballers during the lockdown. However, I would have to agree with Lucas that I prefer his bald look to the Kenyan’s afro.
