‘I really like Arsenal’ – Spurs-linked striker spoke about Kane and the Gunners in April

Genk striker Paul Onuachu has admitted that he enjoys watching Arsenal amidst transfer rumours linking him with a move to Tottenham.

Recent reports have claimed that Tottenham are keen on signing the 27-year-old who stands at 6 foot 7 inches, following a stellar campaign in Belgium last season and a fast start to this term.

Onuachu netted an impressive 35 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions last season, with 29 of those coming in the Jupiler Pro League. He has managed to carry on his form into the new campaign and currently stands on nine goals in 10 league games.

Although Onuachu is being touted for a move to Tottenham, the striker admits that he has a fond interest in a certain club across North London, revealing that he enjoys watching Arsenal partly due to the prior influence of Emmanuel Adebayor.

However, the Nigeria international also singled out his admiration for Spurs talisman Harry Kane.

Speaking to Voetbal Nieuws in April, he said: “I really like Arsenal. [Emmanuel] Adebayor, one of the players I admired the most, played there. I was a real fan of his, also of [Harry] Kane. I also really like watching Arsenal.”

Onuachu’s record in Belgium is seriously impressive, but the Premier League is a different kettle of fish altogether. He may admire Arsenal, but if he were to secure a move to Spurs, there would be no doubt that he would still give his all for the shirt.
