A former Netherlands international has admitted that he wants to see one of the Eredivisie’s most in-form attackers move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Tottenham have struggled to create chances for much of the season, and they have not been helped by the fact that James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski have been out the whole campaign.
That is something that Spurs fans will be hoping Roberto De Zerbi solves, with the Italian coach making no secret of the fact that he favours a possession-based, attacking approach.
While the 46-year-old will believe he can improve some of the players in the Tottenham squad, he will also want further reinforcements to arrive in the summer, and a Dutch pundit believes that a Moroccan international may be the perfect solution for Spurs.

Tottenham told Ismael Saibari can add something extra to their attack
Former Chelsea defender Khalid Boulahrouz believes that Tottenham may be the perfect next step for PSV Eindhoven’s Ismael Saibari, who is having an unbelievable campaign.
The attacking midfielder, who can also lead the line or play out wide, has scored 18 goals across all competitions this season, including three in the Champions League, to go with his nine assists in 35 outings.
Boulahrouz believes that the Moroccan international will improve Tottenham and can be an ‘important’ player for the Lilywhites.
When asked if Saibari is ready for his next step, the pundit told Voetbal Primeur (as relayed by Sport Witness): “A number of players might want to make a move, but perhaps nothing comes along that makes you think I’m going to trade PSV for that.
“When I look at Saibari: he has definitely played out the Eredivisie. If you look at his statistics and his style of play: that is good enough to make a transfer. He is a Moroccan international, has an Africa Cup behind him, and is going to play in a World Cup. Assuming he is a starter and plays two matches well, you are simply gone. Then you have to push through.
“I am just curious what kind of club will come along. He needs to go to an attacking team, where he can come into his own. A nice club: they are not in a good position at all, but he can add something extra to Tottenham Hotspur. I would go to a club where he can be important.”
Do Spurs need to spend big on another attacking midfielder?
Although Xavi Simons may not have lived up to expectations in his first season in the Premier League, the Dutchman is undeniably extremely talented and could be the kind of player who thrives under Roberto De Zerbi.
Additionally, James Maddison is now stepping up his recovery from an ACL injury and looks like he will be ready to go at the start of pre-season.
Dejan Kulusevski has set his sights on being fit for the World Cup, and if that were to happen, Spurs will be stacked with three excellent attacking midfield options on top of Lucas Bergvall, who can also play as a 10.
