Alasdair Gold has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are not expected to spend big in the January transfer window.
As one would expect, the speculation linking Tottenham with various players around Europe has gone into hyperdrive since Antonio Conte’s arrival at the start of November.
Some sources have suggested that the Italian could be handed a £150m war chest to work with next month, while others have claimed there could be a fair few incomings and outgoings at Spurs.
Conte insisted two weeks ago that he has not spoken with the club about the money available to spend in January and is more concerned about getting the best out of the players already at his disposal.
However, The Telegraph’s Matt Law reportedly recently that the 52-year-old is going to hold talks with Fabio Paratici and Daniel Levy about the club’s transfer plans over the coming days.
Gold has now revealed he has been informed that the Italian will not be handed a substantial to budge to work with in January.
The journalist said on his YouTube Channel: “I was told that there is not huge amounts of money to spend this January.”
