‘I will get mocked’ – Man United legend compares Spurs star to Zinedine Zidane

Tottenham Hotspur recorded yet another Premier League win last night as they put two past Manchester City without reply.

The Lilywhites raced into the lead within five minutes when Tanguy Ndombele sent Heung-min Son through on goal, with the South Korean making no mistake.

Jose Mourinho’s men then sat deep and defended for their lives, looking to counter-attack at every opportunity through the likes of Son and Steven Bergwijn.

However, it took until the second half for another goal to come, as Harry Kane collected the ball in the middle of the pitch, before turning and rolling Giovani Lo Celso through on goal.

The Argentine slotted it between Ederson’s legs to make it 2-0 despite only coming off the bench 35 seconds earlier, scoring his first Premier League goal for Spurs.

During the Sky Sports commentary (Sky Sports Main Event – 22/11/20 – at 19:00), pundit and Man United legend, Gary Neville compared Harry Kane’s shielding skills to those of former France superstar, Zinedine Zidane.

He said: “I will get mocked for saying this, but there is a little bit of the Zidane in him when he gets the ball. How he shields it and protects it. It is the physicality, the touch, the protection, you can never get near it.”
