‘I will prepare well and play well’ – Heung-min Son sends warning to Man City

Son Heung-min has insisted that Tottenham will put their last few results behind them and focus on getting a result against Manchester City.

After an outstanding start to the season, Spurs have fallen to three back-to-back defeats in the Premier League.

Ange Postecoglou would argue that at least two of those results (Chelsea and Aston Villa) were not fair reflections of the game and he will perhaps point to the injury crisis that his side is dealing with as a major mitigating factor.

However, there is now a very real fear that the squad’s confidence might be shattered if this poor run of form continues for too much longer.

Heung-min Son will be ready for Man City clash

Unfortunately for the Lilywhites, they now face their hardest fixture of the season, with a trip to the Etihad Stadium coming up.

While Tottenham have got some good results against Man City over the last few years, a fourth successive loss could end up being a real setback for Postecoglou’s rebuild in North London.

However, Son is confident that he and his teammates are capable of picking up a good result against Pep Guardiola’s men.

“It is definitely a difficult game and I will definitely need more help from my teammates than anyone else, so I will prepare well and play well in this game.

“By recording three consecutive losses, I think we showed many fans unexpected results and unexpected aspects, and the players also have a lot of responsibility in this regard.
