Ian Wright claims Harry Kane would score more goals at Liverpool or Man City

Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright has commented on the prospect of Harry Kane leaving North London to join either Liverpool or Manchester City.

Wright was commenting on Kane as part of the Match of the Day podcast and named the Spurs marksman in his top ten best strikers of the Premier League era.

Kane was integral to Mauricio Pochettino’s transformation of Tottenham’s fortunes on the field having qualified for the Champions League in each of the last four seasons.

The academy graduate has bagged 181 goals in 278 club appearances since making his first-team debut for Spurs back in 2014 (transfermarkt).

Wright has claimed that Kane’s impressive goalscoring record would improve further if he left Tottenham and joined Premier League leaders Liverpool or current champions City.

Kane stated in an interview with ESPN in May of last year that he was happy to remain a Tottenham player for as long as the club match his ambitions to win silverware.

When quizzed on how effective Kane would be in Liverpool or Man City’s team, Wright said: “You can’t even start to try and fathom the ratio he would score (if he was at Liverpool or City) with what he’s doing now.”
