Ian Wright claims Spurs must do everything to secure signature of this player

Tottenham Hotspur have a number of talented world-class players at their club, including the likes of Harry Kane, Hugo Lloris, and Heung Min Son.

However, it is looking increasingly likely that they are going to have to wave goodbye to another come the end of the season.

Christian Eriksen has just six months left on his current Tottenham contract in North London, and will leave on a free transfer in the summer of 2020 if nothing is done.

Spurs have three options open to them, sanction a sale in January, convince him to sign a new deal, or wave goodbye to one of their best players and the price tag that goes with him.

Eriksen put in a man of the match performance against Norwich City yesterday in the Premier League, topping it off with a sensational free-kick in the 2-2 draw.

Ian Wright has now claimed that Spurs must do everything they can to keep the player, or risk missing him when he is gone.

He said (Match of the Day): “Eriksen came on and he started to produce the kind of football that you weren’t seeing in the first half. He got himself in positions, it’s the way the speed and the swiftness in which he changed the game.

“Eriksen, that little bit of quality, they are going to miss him if he’s not going to be around and they’ve got to do everything they can to keep him.”
