Tottenham’s away struggles under Ange

Tottenham’s results away from home last season left a lot to be desired and so far this season, they have picked up just one point from their two away matches against Leicester City and Newcastle.

However, Ange Postecoglou will argue that his side did enough to win both those matches and could have battered the Foxes and Magpies if they had been a little more clinical in the final third.

The Australian will be hoping that his forwards have found their goalscoring boots as his side head to Manchester for a big game this Sunday.

Wright predicts Spurs misery

There is no reason for Tottenham not to be confident going into Sunday’s game at Old Trafford, with the stadium not having the sort of aura it once did.

The Lilywhites have had some pretty good results at the venue over the past decade and they will be taking on a Man Utd side who look devoid of confidence.

However, Wright believes that Erik Ten Hag’s men will do enough to edge past Spurs on Sunday. When asked to predict the result, the former Arsenal man bluntly said on Stick to Football: “I think United will beat them. Let’s go 2-1.”

Attack vs defence?

Ten Hag’s United side prefer playing on the counter-attack and against Tottenham, they will have an opportunity to do just that, with Spurs tending to dominate the ball and commit bodies forward.

The away side will leave space at the back for the likes of Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford to exploit on the counter-attack.

The result might come down to whether Spurs’ attacking players are able to act decisively when they get to the final third and make their opportunities count.
