Some Spurs fans are confident that Tottenham will not allow Harry Winks to leave the club this month after his improved run of form over recent matches.
Winks struggled for game time for much of the last three months but has started all of Tottenham’s last three games against Stoke, Wolves and Leeds United.
The midfielder was particularly impressive in Spurs’ 3-0 win over Leeds on Saturday where he was able to show his creativity, with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg doing the dirty work alongside him in the middle of the park.
There has been plenty of speculation over Winks’ future but the idea of him leaving in January has previously been dismissed by Jose Mourinho.
Spanish outlet AS claimed a few days ago that Valencia are looking to land the 24-year-old on a loan deal until the end of the season and the midfielder is open to the idea of spending six months at the Mestalla in order to increase his hopes of being named in the England squad for the European Championships.
However, some Tottenham fans have insisted that there is no way Mourinho will want to let Winks go and potentially leave himself short of options in central midfield.
No way will Jose allow that…he has moved ahead of Sissoko into the 1st Eleven.

Whether he's rated by Spurs fans or not the reality is he's starting Premier League games now so I'd be amazed if Winks is loaned out or sold by the closing of the transfer window. https://t.co/fi7cuz9kgj

Non started. We don't have many central midfield players and the amount of games and competitions means that we'll need him. Besides he has been starting more recently.

We should not let him leave. He is just getting in Mourinho's plans and he is doing great. He is a Tottenham man. And needs to stay here for the rest of his career

No chance, got too many games coming up

They can be interested all they want. He’s not leaving.

I’d be surprised if Jose let him go – homegrown player in a position where there are 3 players for 2 spots. He played pretty well against Leeds with Hojbjerg next to him, so I can’t imagine us letting him go in the January window

Only happens if we get a replacement this month

He was brilliant yesterday, meaning he’s quality when the tactics fits him. Selling Winks right now seems to be a dumb thing.

No chance in January, helps home grown quota and just started last few games. Good squad player with amount of games coming up. Need to upgrade Sissoko not Winks but neither should start in first 11.

Spurs Web Opinion
Even if Winks had not won his place back in the side over recent weeks, I still would not have expected the club to let him go in January without signing a replacement. It is clear that the 24-year-old is going to have a big part to play given that we are still involved in all four competitions.
