Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react after it was confirmed that Jose Mourinho will return to football management.
AS Roma revealed earlier this afternoon that the former Spurs head coach will take over from Paulo Fonseca, who is to leave the Serie A outfit at the end of the currently campaign.
Roma are currently seventh in the Serie A table, nine points behind Lazio who occupy sixth spot. Fonseca’s side are also on the verge of being knocked out of the Europa League at the semi-final stage, having lost 6-2 to Manchester United in the first leg at Old Trafford last week.
Mourinho ended up trophyless at Tottenham, the first club to do so during his managerial career after Daniel Levy decided to sack him and his backroom staff just a matter of days before he was due to lead his side out at Wembley in the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.
Here is how some of the North London faithful have reacted to news of Mourinho’s appointment:
This has happened all to quickly for me. He told Levy I'm out if Tottenham as I have a better job lined up. You won't commit to buying new players for next season so I'm off!!

What’s the Italian for “I’m so sorry. I feel bad for you”.

Good for him and Roma. No hard feelings just not a match for us

Good news. Minimal payout as he’d of been put on gardening leave.

I feel for Roma. Also, this means Sarri is still free. Hard no on him for Spurs. https://t.co/5vpDwxIFzb

So if Levy had Mourinho on Gardening leave which is the suspicion his pay off will now be minimal. Thought we’d be saddled for months or years 😂

Spurs can stop paying Mourinho from this summer when he takes over at Roma and those weird cult members will finally piss off. What a day.
