Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to share their reaction to this afternoon’s Europa Conference League play-off round draw.
The draw, which took place at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland saw Spurs drawn against either Pacos de Ferreira of Portugal or Larne from Northern Ireland.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will know for sure who they will face after the two teams square off in the third qualifying round which takes place on Thursday, August 12.
The Europa Conference League is in its inaugural season and has been created with the aim of giving smaller countries more group-stage football compared to the difficulties they would face in the Champions League or Europa League, with at least 34 countries having representation.
The first leg takes place on Thursday, August 19; three days before the trip to Wolves, while the second leg takes place a week later on Thursday, August 26 with Spurs hosting Premier League newcomers less than 72 hours after the match.
This is what some of the North London faithful had to say about the draw.
Yesssss please I wanna play Larne
