According to a report from Inter Live, Tottenham Hotspur are willing to offer €47m (£40.3m) for Inter Milan pair Stefan de Vrij and Marcelo Brozovic, a prospect that has excited some Spurs fans.
Inter’s financial issues have been well documented, with the club needing to raise a sizable sum in the transfer window through player sales this summer in order to cover the losses incurred due to the pandemic.
It has previously been reported that Tottenham could look to raid the Serie A champions for multiple players this summer, with the North London club hoping to get some cut-price deals.
Tottenham’s new managing director of football operations, Fabio Paratici certainly has his work cut out this summer, with the squad looking in need of significant strengthening.
Inter Live have now claimed that one of the first moves that Paratici could make is to raid Inter for De Vrij and Brozovic.
It is asserted that Tottenham are willing to offer €22m (£18.8m) for the Netherlands international, who has been a real leader in the Nerrazuri backline since arriving from Lazio in 2018.
The remaining €25m (£21.4m) would be for the experienced Brozovic, who has only 12 months left on his contract with Inter.
