Igor Tudor has revealed whether he has enough time to make the changes he wants to make at Tottenham Hotspur.

If Tudor had any illusions about the size of the challenge lying in front of him, he certainly would not after watching the meek display his side produced against Arsenal.

Tottenham were overpowered by their North London rivals in the second half on Sunday, with the 4-1 loss leaving them just four points off the drop zone.

The Spurs interim boss has now spoken about the challenge he faces in getting his ideas through to the players quickly.

Igor Tudor admits Tottenham received a lesson about their level against Arsenal

The Croat only had a few training sessions with a depleted squad after his first game on Sunday.

He insisted that there is enough time to implement his ideas, but admitted that Tottenham received a reality check about where they are in comparison with their local rivals.

When asked if he has enough time to make the changes he wants to, given that Tottenham only have 11 matches left, Tudor told Football.London: “Of course, there is enough time. As I said, this was not a perfect team to play the first game after three or four sessions, but in one way, we need to see something good. If I can tell this, you know.

“Something good to see where we need to be. You know, where is the goal? What is the level? What is, you know. So today, totally different worlds. I need to be honest. Two totally different worlds. Psychological and physical worlds, levels.”

Tudor admits he is experiencing a first at Spurs

The former Juventus boss confessed that Tottenham’s current injury situation is unlike anything he has experienced as a head coach.

However, he added that the Spurs squad need to accept their current predicament and set the restart button.

When asked if the job is bigger than he thought it was, Tudor responded: “You never know. You never know because this is a situation that I never saw. That we have 10 players plus three players [available]. So it’s very, I don’t know which word is best to use, but I like it because I see the players want to do.

“The players want [to], okay they are in this position. Now we need to restart again and waiting for the players who are out. For sure, that’s also a big reason. But it is how it is.”
