One senior Tottenham Hotspur star is set to be left out of the starting eleven for a Champions League game for the first time this season as Igor Tudor is all set to make a big call.

Tudor has received plenty of criticism for his selection decisions and tactical calls after losing all of his first three matches in charge of Spurs.

Pundits are now calling for Tottenham to sack the Croatian coach, as relegation looks increasingly likely for the Lilywhites with each passing game.

At a time when he is under massive pressure, the interim Spurs boss is set to make a huge selection decision for his first Champions League game in charge of the club.

Antony Kinsky is expected to replace Guglielmo Vicario in Tottenham XI

According to The Telegraph, Tudor is ready to make a big selection call by dropping Guglielmo Vicario against Atletico Madrid this evening.

The Italian has started every single Premier League and Champions League game for Spurs this term, but Antonin Kinsky is expected to get the nod to start at the Metropolitano Stadium.

Kinsky has not played for Spurs since their League Cup defeat at St James’ Park last October, but Tudor is believed to be ready to give the Czech shot-stopper a chance to impress.

Could this represent the end for Vicario at Spurs?

Guglielmo Vicario continues to be heavily linked with a return to Serie A, with Juventus and Inter Milan both thought to be interested in the 29-year-old.

Some outlets have even suggested over recent weeks that Spurs are ready to sell their number one for £26m this summer.

If the Italian does get dropped, it is going to be difficult for him to fight his way back at this stage of the season, and it might prove to be the final nail in the coffin of the goalkeeper’s Spurs career.
